Saying Goodbye Reviews:

This books takes the reader through the roller-coaster mind of a nine-year-old. It's a treasure trove of information on Islam as Sophie's World is for philosophy. A must-read particularly for children, young adults and just about anyone who's inquisitive about Islam.

“Thank you, thank you, and thank you for the book!! What a pleasant surprise! You know what? I finished reading it in such a short time because I just couldn't put the book down! I really, really like your book, and I'm sure glad that it’s published! It’s really easy to read and I've no doubt that kids will love reading it.”

“I have forgot to tell you that I have finished book 3 and I am now on book 4 on chapter 7. When I was just about to find out what your secret was, I started to feel sleepy and I DIDN'T want to go to sleep. I really get excited when you and Rose say you have a PLAN. Your books are very interesting.”

I was writing because I had bought several of your books a few months ago. I purchased Islamic Rose Books 2 & 3 from you. I was able to purchase books 1 & 4 from Islamicbookstore.com. My dear friend Maqsud's family in Milwaukee has kind of adopted me as their own since I became a Muslim. All of his brother's children call me auntie.

Anyway, I couldn't go to visit them this Eid so I sent gifts for all of the children. The oldest girl, Mahee is 10. I sent her all 4 of your Islamic Rose books for her Eid gift. Her grandma called me last night telling me how much Mahee loved them. She read one after another. She finished all four and is now re-reading them. Mahee is an avid reader, but she said these books were very special. I simply wanted to write and let you know how much she loved your books.

Strong Finale to a good series, July 20, 2006
Reviewer: Pamela K. Taylor "momtotsan" (Indianapolis, IN USA)

In Book Four of the Islamic Rose series, Rose prepares to say goodbye to her grandmother's guests, who have become like a part of their family. As with each of the other books, Rose faces challenges in her life with the help of her friends, her Grandmother and her visitors. While most of the problems can be resolved satisfactorily, some, like Rose's abandonment at a young age by her mother, will have repercussions that Rose will have to deal with for a long time.

As with the other books, the author demonstrates her familiarity with Islamic practices and culture, weaving in tidbits of information along with Rose's adventures. At a time when tensions between "the West" and "Islam" are ever increasing, it is refreshing to read a series of books dedicated to the notion that we can all get along, and that we have more in common than you might think.
